About The Product
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is the direct sequel to MWII and part of the flagship Modern Warfare series. Released in 2023, it expanded the franchise with new operators, weapons, seasonal content, and live service updates. My role focused on making large-scale operator systems, KBM adaptation, and live ops UX more intuitive, discoverable, and competitive-ready.
My Role
As a UX Designer on MWIII, I contributed to the Operator Selection experience, keyboard & mouse adaptation across menus, and settings restructuring. I also supported Live Ops UX — ensuring seasonal content, events, and battle pass frameworks were seamless to navigate and consistent with the COD design language.
Responsibility
Designed and shipped Operator Filter & Sort systems to manage 100+ operators, enabling players to find their preferred character quickly.
Streamlined KBM adaptation for event screens and menus, ensuring parity and smooth interaction across input devices.
Assisted with Settings UX structuring and post-release updates, improving clarity and discoverability without disrupting legacy systems.
Collaborated with Live Ops teams on UX for seasonal events, battle pass, and post-launch frameworks, ensuring scalability and consistency.
Proposed a 4-state Gas Mask icon system (no mask, available, equipped, damaged) to improve combat readability and player trust.
